Steaming noodle soup, soft and sticky sweet rice, fresh and crispy baguettes, live seafood and poultry, fresh vegetables, elbow-nudging housewives bargaining for their groceries - these are the sights and sounds of an open-air market in Vietnam.
My love for food and cooking was nurtured from the time I remember going to the market with my mother. The highlight of my day was when we arrived home with baskets of fresh vegetable, live fish, and especially some tasty, ready-to-eat treats. That love blossomed into a passion for everything about food that has never subsided.
Xanh Bistro is borne of that passion.
